Gloucester now has a grand and central station for business with the completed conversion of Railway House on Bruton Way into the city’s best laid out high-quality offices.
We are extremely pleased with the new space fitted out for us by AGM on behalf of Formal Investments. The job was completed by them on time and within budget and they were very responsive to our specific needs
There are 15,000 square feet available to let on the top floor of this centrally located, business-ready building which is next to the railway station, opposite the bus station and less than five minutes walk from the city centre.
More than half the 35,000 square feet in Railway House is already let. Fellow occupiers include Kip McGrath Education Centres, Gloucester City Homes, estate agents Movearound, Red Recruitment and PH Costs Solutions. New tenants will be able to specify how they want the modern space to be configured.
Railway House and the adjacent Carriage Building derive their names from their history and close proximity to the railway station. Roberts Limbrick designed both conversions and The Carriage Building, which was the first phase of development of this central site, is now the architects’ headquarters.
The Cheltenham-based developer, Formal Investments, started work on phase II of the property in 2013. Nicholas King, a director at Formal Investments, said: “Businesses are thriving at Railway House. Phase II is now complete and the top floor is now the premier office location in central Gloucester ready for a business or other organisation to make its home.”
The international education company Kip McGrath Education Centres recently expanded its space, moving its UK Head Office staff out of Railway House’s serviced offices and into its own 3,000 square foot suite on the ground floor.
Jackie Burrows, CEO UK Business at Kip McGrath, said: “We are extremely pleased with the new space fitted out for us by AGM on behalf of Formal Investments. The job was completed by them on time and within budget and they were very responsive to our specific needs.”
The residential sales and letting estate agents Movearound have taken the only remaining space on the ground floor, giving them a prominent office fronting Bruton Way.
The letting agent for all or part of the 15,000 sq ft on the first floor at Railway House is Richard Crabb at Nick Bevan: [email protected] or 01242 584 674.
Kip McGrath’s move has freed up space in Railway House’s serviced offices, available from 200 sq ft. Formal Office Suites are equipped with dependable and flexible IT and communications services including high-speed internet access and a fully-managed LAN environment - all available 24/7.
